Social media is the perfect place for writers to build a brand and a meaningful community…but it can be challenging to know where to start. If you’re overwhelmed or intimidated by the task of creating a social media presence, this workshop will help you wade in!

We’ll walk you through important considerations for developing social media strategy and content and then take a deep dive into Twitter, one of the most powerful platforms for writers. Bring your laptop for a hands-on introduction to creating a profile, participating in threads, finding communities, and using Twitter on the road to publication.

You will come away with a clear understanding of how to use Twitter and social media to hone your writing and boost your readership.

*Note: To benefit fully from the Twitter tutorial, you will need your laptop (or phone, in a pinch) as well as a library card to access the WiFi.
