Going on hiatus

I hope you are all doing well and staying safe.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been hard on many of us, personally and professionally. While we've been trying our best to keep the Ottawa Writer's Circle active, the truth is, it's been an uphill battle. Though Ottawa and much of the rest of Ontario has now reached Phase 2 of reopening, we're still not sure when things will return to a semblance of normal.

With this in mind, the OWC leadership team has decided to put the group on official hiatus until September 2020. We're going to take this time to take a break, catch our breath, and make some plans about what's to come for us going into our eighth year. While COVID-19 put a hitch in many of our grand plans for 2020, we hope this time will allow for the OWC to come back renewed and stronger than ever, much like our summer break in 2017.

So, until then, feel free to continue to reach out to each other using our Critique Partner Database, or feel free to start a conversation on our forums. They're not very active, but since we're all online now, it doesn't have to stay that way!

We look forward to what the fall will bring, and we all hope to see (or "see") you soon!
