February 2022: Antagonists!

Like we talked about a little in Our Plans for 2022 blog post, every month the Ottawa Writer's Circle will follow a topic or theme related to writing craft for our discussion groups and questions and prompt parties. February 2022 brings us Antagonists!

Antagonist: one that contends with or opposes another: adversary, opponent.

How do you create worthy adversaries? What’s the difference between an antagonist and a villain? Do you need an antagonist in your story? Must your antagonist be a person?
